Journalling tips for beginners (❁´◡`❁)

Journalling is fun and a relaxing way to unwind after a long day!  You can jot down feelings, the weather, what you did, and whatever you feel like saying!   Here are some tips to get you started. 1.  The proper journal/diary: Your journal does not have to be fancy, however, I usually try to pick out aesthetically pleasing journals just because I find them better to write in 😊.  I also personalize my journals by putting stickers or doodling on the cover.   2. How to start:  You can just start writing by putting the date and the weather then write about your day.  If you prefer, you can begin your entry by writing "dear diary." 3.  Example entry:  Here is an example entry that I wrote for this blog: Saturday, January 7, 2023 Dear Diary, Today it is cloudy and gloomy outside.  This morning I went shopping and bought some groceries.  I plan on doing some artwork after dinner today.  I am still mad at Rhea for dro...

Educational math games for kids

The best way to engage kids in learning activities is through games.  So, I decided to put a list of fun but educational math games together for your class to enjoy!   MATH: Nerdle-the daily numbers game:  On Nerdle, there is a new math problem to figure out every day (you can even turn this into a daily thing or a Friday treat!)  In Nerdle, you have an amount of 6 guesses and you have to figure out the number sequence by entering in number sentences (you can see the example photo below).  A green number means the number is in the equation and in the right spot, purple means the number is in the equation but not in the right spot, and black means the number is not in the equation at all.  Play Nerdle here:  https://nerdlegame.com/ Mathgames.com:  Math games is a website with multiple math games to choose from.  Before you begin playing a game, it will ask you your grade and what math skill you are practicing.  NOTE:  The...

SnowTime Anytime indoor snowballs review

T his is a bit of a random post as I NEVER did a product review before however when I was cleaning out my basement a few days ago I found a pack of 15 SnowTime Anytime indoor snowballs, a Christmas gift I got last year πŸ˜†!  I thought it would be fun to open it up, test them, and review them on video and for a Blog.  There may be more posts like these in the near future!  But, for now, let's get started! The snowballs were packaged in a plastic cylinder bucket with a handle on it and it was well sealed, in my opinion.  When I opened the bucket, the first thing I did was feel the snowballs (hey I was excited) and when I touched them, they reminded me of the feeling and sound of snow exactly.  The snowballs also came with a little note with some fun games on it.  You can use these snowballs with family, at a party, at retirement homes, in the classroom, and in any other indoor space.  Really fun for all ages and I really enjoyed playing with them (...

BOOK REVIEW: All The Bright Places by Jennifer Niven

Today, I will write about the book All The Bright Places by Jennifer Niven.  I would recommend the age rating of this book to be 12+ and the genre of this book is romanceπŸ’– , I am giving this book 5 stars ⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐ because it is now one of my favorite romance novels.  This book has its happy parts, however, the end of the book for me was heart-breaking and a dramatic twist at the same time. This novel is about 2 people named Violet Markley and Theodore Finch, who both have their own problems and their own lives.  Violet has never been the same since her sister, Eleanor was killed in a car accident, and is afraid of many things.  Theodore (or Finch as everyone calls him) is dealing with depression and thinks of suicide.  When Violet and Finch meet on the ledge of their school bell tower everything changes for them forever.  They fall in love, and little by little they begin to learn more about each other more and more. If you are a person who loves a dram...

Easy Halloween party ideas for kids πŸ‘»

NOTE:  I tried to make all party ideas appropriate for all ages!  Hope you all enjoy πŸŽƒ. Idea #1- Decorate your own cupcakes or cookies:  This is a fun activity for everyone to have the opportunity to show off their creative skills.  You can buy or make your own cupcake or cookie bases and whip up the icing in separate bowls for people to choose from.  For more fun, put out some cute sprinkles! Idea #2- pumpkin painting:  Get together some plastic pumpkins, acrylic paint, and sharpies!  Paint and design your own plastic pumpkin!   It can be done as an art activity or even as a challenge! Idea #3- Haunted room:  Create your own haunted room wherever your party is taking place!  A good thing about this idea is that you can make it appropriate for any age.   Idea #4-  oobleck: This is a good activity for kids, however, this is a messy activity, and a good space to make oobleck is in a bathroom or basement.  G...

BOOK REVIEW: And Then There Were None by Agatha Christie

Today I will be reviewing the book And Then There Were None by Agatha Christie *spoiler-free!*.  Let's start! The genre of this book is Mystery and the age rating of this book is 12+ due to the violence inside the story.  My rating of And Then There Were None out of 5 stars: ⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐  it was a very gripping read! The book is about 10 people who are invited to go to Soldier island for a vacation by the mysterious "U.N Owen".  Then when a storm picks up they are unable to leave the island, and soon enough, one by one they begin to get murdered.  Will any of them survive?  The murders are based on the poem "10 little soldiers" which is actually very interesting.  Comment if you read this book already and enjoyed it or if you are planning to read it.
