Easy Halloween party ideas for kids πŸ‘»

NOTE:  I tried to make all party ideas appropriate for all ages!  Hope you all enjoy πŸŽƒ.

Idea #1- Decorate your own cupcakes or cookies:  This is a fun activity for everyone to have the opportunity to show off their creative skills.  You can buy or make your own cupcake or cookie bases and whip up the icing in separate bowls for people to choose from.  For more fun, put out some cute sprinkles!

Idea #2- pumpkin painting:  Get together some plastic pumpkins, acrylic paint, and sharpies!  Paint and design your own plastic pumpkin!   It can be done as an art activity or even as a challenge!

Idea #3- Haunted room:  Create your own haunted room wherever your party is taking place!  A good thing about this idea is that you can make it appropriate for any age.

Idea #4-  oobleck: This is a good activity for kids, however, this is a messy activity, and a good space to make oobleck is in a bathroom or basement.  Get together some gloves, 2 cups of cornstarch, 1 cup of water, and food colouring (optional). Pour the 2 cups of cornstarch into a bowl, then add the 1 cup of water to the bowl, add the food colouring, and mix with a spoon or your hand.  You have the right consistency when you can form a ball with the oobleck and when you let go, it should melt.  To clean, let dry and wipe or vacuum.

Idea #5-loot bag ideas:  In loot bags, you can add candy (duh), mini stuffies or squishes, a pencil, a mini notebook, bouncy balls, or even a thank you for coming note!

I hope you enjoyed these ideas!  Tweet to @vlogs_diy to share your Halloween party ideas!

My favorite aesthetic google fonts

Are you a person like me who uses Google docs, Google slides, or Blogger a lot?  If so, you might be getting tired of the same old regular font so I made a list of my favorite cute and aesthetic Google fonts! Indie flower:  Indie flower is a font that gives me kind of handwriting cartoon aesthetic vibes and I like using this font for titles or subheadings. Coming soon:  Coming soon is a clear and easy-to-read but cute font.  I like using this font for printables as it is easy to read for kids. Short Stack:  This font is much like Coming soon but bolder and this font gives me fun and happy vibes.  A great font to use for writing a presentation or schedule. Shadows into light:  The font gives me handwritten letter vibes and it is just a nice classic rustic style font. Shadows into light 2: Shadows into light 2 is just the same style as shadows into light but bigger and bolder.  Amatic SC:  This font is very light and the letters are very...

Book review: One of us is lying by Karen M. McManus

This book has been on my GoodReads "want to read" list for a while so it was both satisfying to finally get it off my list but it was also a very thrilling and twisting mystery novel.  In this book, each character has their own section which I found kind of neat to see each of the perspectives of the characters and how different their personalities and lives are.  I would recommend this book for young adults 13 and up as it does have some coarse language and some mature circumstances and scenes.  The main characters in the book are Bronwyn who is an intelligent girl who comes from a family of Yale graduates, Cooper who is an all-star baseball player, Addy who is known at Bayview high as being popular and beautiful, Nate who is already on Probation for dealing drugs, and Simon who is the creator of the gossip app About That.  The five of them end up in detention and by the end of detention, Simon is dead.  This book made me feel a lot of emotions at one po...

How to stay motivated & tips to get good marks this school year

Today I will share the motivation tips that I use.  If you would like to read more Blogs like this, comment πŸ“.  NOTE:  Even if you are not in school you can use these for any situation! Tip 1. πŸ€πŸŽ¨➗try:  When you try, you get credit for trying even if you are not good at the subject.  So always try to do your best work and your teachers would recognize that you are putting effort into your work.  So you would get a better mark if you try than if you just give up and don't try at all. Tip 2: πŸ†set a goal:  Setting a goal is a good way to motivate yourself and work your way up to your goal.  Your goal can be "winning an award" or even "getting straight A's". YOU CAN DO IT, ANYTHING IS POSSIBLE! Tip 3.✋ Volunteer:  Do things around your school community and ask your teachers if they need any help in your free time!  Your teachers will appreciate the hand! Tip 4: πŸ™‹‍♀️πŸ™‹participate:  Don't be afraid to try new things!!  You can jo...
